Characters: Macbeth and Lady Macbeth

Quick Summary: Macbeth comes from Duncan’s chamber and he has just killed Duncan.He is having a mental breakdown and is hallucinating. Lady Macbeth is trying to get him together as he has to back into the chamber to give the daggers to the unconscious guard to frame them for the murder. Macbeth continues to freak out and is almost unresponsive to Lady Macbeth. Lady Macbeth then decides to go into the chamber herself. Macbeth is regretting the decision to kill Duncan

Quotes:”Infirm of purpose!Give me the daggers. The sleeping and the deadAre but as pictures. ‘Tis the eye of childhood fears a painted devil” Lady Macbeth’s say this to Macbeth while he refuses to go back into the chamber. This quotes is saying that the dead can no hurt you just as pictures cant either and children are scared of pictures. Again Lady Macbeth is calling Macbeth a coward.”Will all great Neptune’s ocean wash this blood Clean  from my hand? No, this my hand will rather The multitudinous seas incarnadine,Making the green one red.” As Macbeth says this he is desperate. He wants the blood to be clean from his hands even if it takes all the worlds oceans to do so. But then he thinks it wont work as hes done to much bad and all the water will turn red. He kmows this was a mistake and he can not be foregiven
